Community Literacy

 Literacy is not just about reading and writing.  It is about:

• Developing relationships between parents/guardians, grandparents, children, communities
• Supporting adults and seniors with their learning goals
• Building stronger families and healthier communities
• Finding FUN learning opportunities everywhere - inside and outside the classroom or home
• Developing or enhancing a skill - like riding a bike, using a hula hoop, or playing basketball
• Participating in democracy (local, provincial, federal)
• Lifelong learning opportunities for everyone
